Summary: Dime Community Bank is currently hiring for a Part-Time Project Assistant in the Audit Department. The Part-Time Project Assistant - Audit will be responsible for assisting the Audit Manager in the planning, execution, and reporting of audit projects.

The hourly wage minimum = $16; maximum = $18. The exact pay may vary based on skills, experience, training, licenses/certifications, language necessities, and location. This is a hybrid, part-time role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis of business and IT systems, processes, and controls.
  • Identify potential risk areas and recommending solutions.
  • Assist in the development of audit plans and programs.
  • Communicate with audit team members and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management.
  • Extracte data from various sources (e.g. Excel files, Sharepoint sites, or other files) and build out new documents in MS Word or Excel.
  • Generate reports, send communications out, and track updates received.
  • Assist in planning and fieldwork for IT Audits in progress. Most of the help will be needed in documenting or filling in existing templates.
  • Update data in the audit workflow tool, TeamMate+.
  • Work on various ad-hoc projects.


Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelors degree program in Management Information Systems, Business Management or Administration, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
  • Must have solid experience in MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience in creating flowcharts in Visio are a plus, but not required.
  • You will be working with a lot of data sets that come in various formats. Understanding of relational databases or object-oriented programming a plus.
  • Self-starter; able to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Able to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Curiosity to learn.
